Reynolds Design + Construction was selected as one of the over 200 North American builders, remodelers, developers, and contractors recognized by GuildQuality for their superior delivery of customer care. GuildQuality, an independent customer satisfaction surveying company, has powered the Guildmaster Award since 2005 to celebrate service excellence in the building, remodeling, contracting, and home services professions.

Over the past few months, GuildQuality reviewed numerous survey responses submitted by customers of Guildmaster candidates. In granting awards, GuildQuality considers two primary metrics for each candidate: the percentage of customers who would recommend and the percentage of customers who responded. Reynolds Design + Construction achieved a recommendation rate of greater than 90% from their customers, who were surveyed through GuildQuality.

Reynolds Design + Construction will have a booth at the 2015 Home Show! This showcase of builders, remodelers, and other construction and trade professionals is always a fun and educational event for homeowners. Reynolds Design + Construction – Our Remodeling Process

The typical construction process tends to bounce homeowners around contractors, designers, and interior designers on the way to getting their project completed. The design/build paradigm seeks to condense the construction process so that you only have to deal with one company, simplifying what can often be a complex and stressful process. Here at Reynolds Design and Construction we are uniquely set up to offer a comprehensive and seamless experience to our clients.

Initial Meeting:

At the beginning of our process, Dave visits your home to see and hear firsthand what you would like to change in your home. At this point we can come up with a preliminary budget range so that you have an idea of how feasible your project is and how much it might cost.

Design Process:

At the beginning of the design process a design agreement is signed. We produce the plans and designs for the majority of our projects in-house. There are typically three design phases: Conceptual drawings, Design Development, and Production Designs. The conceptual drawings provide a look at possible layout options, using 3D computer-aided design rendering. This gives an incredibly realistic look at what the project could look like. The design development continues the process, resulting in workable plans of the new project designs. Finally, the production designs are fully usable plans that can be presented to subcontractors and building officials, indicating that the project is fully ready to begin construction.

Pre-construction:

The pre-construction phase overlaps with the design process and includes estimating, confirming bids from subcontractors, and finally contract signing. Once the designs are sufficiently complete, we have our skilled subcontractors come on site and bid the project, making sure every detail is accounted for. Some of the biggest problems in a job come from not fully seeing all of the variables present in a home, so we spend time to get the scope of work correct. After the bids are confirmed, we develop a final estimate and draw up a contract for the work that is to be done.

Construction:

After the contract is signed, a down payment has been received, and all details are decided, the project can begin. Dave and our carpenter foreman oversee every aspect of the construction, from our in-house carpentry team completing the framing to the subcontractors and their inspections. We send out schedules to keep you up-to-date on your project’s progress and use signed change orders to make sure that everybody involved is on the same page. Having the same team involved throughout the design process and pre-construction phase helps avoid problems since no information is lost between the stages.

Construction Closing and Job Completion:

After your project is complete we walk through it to make sure there are no issues with the project and you are completely satisfied. We will come back to fix warranty issues at no cost and we are available to do service work for our customers after their projects are complete.
